The Facebook page "300 Strong Against Essential Oil Ingestion" will go unpublished today in the wake of two new projects by creator Lee Tea, "EssentialInfo" and "SPARTA".
"300 Strong" launched in June 2014 to connect essential oil users that had questions with professionals that had answers. The gathering, comprised of over 2,300 people including responsible practitioners, certified aromatherapists, accredited institutions, reputable publications and general users against undiluted e.o. ingestion, engaged in collecting, presenting, and reviewing essential oil use directions and information. Most of the information presented for review and accuracy will remain available on the group's associated website, EssentialInfo.weebly.com.
Lee Tea comments: "People - mainly women and children - are being hurt by unsafe marketing information that's illegal anyways. The time for talk is over. With SPARTA, we take action to reduce the amount of unsafe essential oil information online, publish flyers to educate people of what to be aware of at EO home parties, and teach newbies to essential oils that the safer use rule is "always dilute, never ingest." We recognize the use of essential oils in dozens of industries worldwide, from baked goods to paint thinners. We understand this issue from all angles, and are confident in our unique position to take a stand for people over profits in the world of essential oil sales and marketing."
